Hi! I'm Jenna, the founder of emBARK.co and this is Maisel - our well-traveled (almost) three year old bernedoodle and the inspiration behind our name!
I was born in England and spent my formative years traveling between Europe and the US, one 3-month visa at a time... cue my affinity for travel. When Maisel joined our family in 2021, the trips did not stop or slow down - they just became dog-friendly. I quickly learned the difference between dog-friendly and dog-tolerant and made it my mission to highlight hotels that actually love your furry friends. We still do plenty of traveling without Maisel and can't wait to share those trips with you as well! My passion for travel is undeniable and my type A personality and full-time job as a college professor lends itself to loving the planning process just as much as the trip itself. Who doesn't feel brighter when they have a holiday to look forward to? In our time not traveling or trip planning, you can find us eating & drinking our way through Charlotte, NC!
